Here is how they turned out! I even made the frosting from scratch. A yummy buttercream frosting. It turned out so good that I want to share the recipe with all of you -quick and just as cheap as purchasing a frosting and it tastes a million times better!
Buttercream Frosting Ingredients:
1 Cup of Butter (Unsalted)
3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
1-2 Tablespoons of Whipped Creme (I used 2 and loved the taste and consistency)
1-2 Tablespoons of Whipped Creme (I used 2 and loved the taste and consistency)
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
And there you have it :) that's it! Simple and seriously the best!!!! Try this next time you make a cake or cupcakes or something, promise you won't regret it!
I am also excited to share my new boots with all of you! The hubs and I have been complaining about our winter shoes. We just didn't have any good ones that were that functional in snowy conditions. Especially J. He had like all canvas shoes like vans and toms etc that just get SOAKED every time he steps out in the snow poor guy. We decided to splurge a little bit on some Sorel boots. These are amazing boots made for winter. He found some cute stylish leather shoes/boots for dudes, and I found some SUPER CUTE boots that are total snow boots. Most snow boots are just ugly and gross no matter how you wear them and these seriously were the ONLY pair that I not only liked, but LOVED!
I will probably wear these when it's not even winter. I saw online a picture of a girl wearing them with a dress and I loved it! So basically I will live in these, and I can't wait!!!! All of my boots are like cheapies that fall apart as SOON as the season ends, so this will be a first for me.
