Dry Hair.

Long time no blog post.... I know, I know. Sometimes it all gets hard juggling everything. But I promise I'm still working hard in making this blog more of a priority and hopefully making it into something bigger and better by the (I would say day but I suck at blogging right now soo...) post :)!

For those of you who are unaware... My life is completely centered around hair product. Not only am I a hair stylist but I manage a beauty supply store and salon! So I literally swim in hair product. My husband probably wants to kill me because I have tubs and tubs full of product at our house and a room dedicated to my hair stuff.

Anyway, we all known that it is winter, especially us folk here in Utah - ha! Usually during the winter months you may notice your hair tends to dry out more. I have some awesome solutions for you and these are products I truly can't go without!

1. Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner

These are very expensive products and in my opinion WELL worth the price. But if its something that you just can't or don't want to afford..... Understandable! I have some cheaper suggestions also. My next choice would be Matrix Biolage Hydrate shampoo and the Detangling Solution or Conditioning Balm. They do a great job of cleansing the hair and leave the hair feeling clean and soft. Some shampoos that I have used just weigh my hair down a lot and don't lather as well which makes me feel like it's not doing as good of a job getting my hair clean. The Detangling Solution is your average conditioner! Leaves your hair soft but it's not super heavy whereas the Conditioning Balm is a little bit heavier and meant to do a deeper condition. I have both Pureology and Biolage in my shower at the moment and rotate them, using both.

2. It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In

They call this a miracle product and they do not lie. Obsessed!! It is probably the one product that I
truly could not go without. It is an AMAZING leave in conditioner and makes your hair so soft and keeps it moisturized throughout the day. It is the ONLY product that has worked on my hair as a good detangler... I use it after every time I wash my hair :)

3. Pureology Hydrawhip

This is a really really good deep conditioner/mask! I only use it about once a week, and it lasts quite a long time because a little bit goes a long way. It even comes with a little scooper to help measure the amount you need so you don't use too much at one time! Because it's Pureology, it's pricey, but in my opinion well worth it.

Another really good mask is the Nourishing Mask made by Amika! It smells SOOO good and works really well also. It is only 5 dollars cheaper than the Pureology Hydrawhip but is about double the amount - so this one is definitely worth the money! I get so many compliments on how my hair smells when I use it.

4. ARGAN OIL! Many of you have heard of this I am sure... there are so many different kinds, and almost every hair line now makes one. Some of you may get confused about the difference between a hair oil and a serum. Some people think they are using a hair oil, when really it's a serum! To begin with, make sure that the OIL you are purchasing does NOT say serum on it! That means it's not an Argan Oil at all! Also Argan oil tends to be a bit more expensive than a serum, so if it's cheap, it's probably not right. The main difference between a serum and an Argan Oil is that a serum is meant to act as a top coat on your hair! It just coats the hair strands making it look shinier and smoother. If you put too much of it on, you will be a major greaseball! You could put quite a bit of oil in your hair though and within minutes your hair will have absorbed it!! Best thing ever. Really nourishes your hair and prevents your hair ends from breaking off. When you apply, it's best to use it mid-shaft to ends only and focus on the ends!!! I have a few favorites and I will share them with you!

Actives by Brocato

 Oil Treatment by Amika

Oil Treatment by Moroccan Oil

 Soy Renewal by Sexy Hair

The two I currently have in my drawer are the Soy Renewal by Sexy Hair and the Actives by Brocato!!! Love them both! I think my very favorite has been the Actives!!!

After using some of these products on your hair, you will notice a major difference in the way your hair feels, looks, and even smells! Give them a try!!
